Haaretz: American Jews Finding New Ways to Connect, Many Struggle to Belong

Nearly four in 10 American Jews say they have found new ways to engage with Jewish life since October 7, 2023 – a rebound from last year that suggests the wave of Jewish involvement following the Hamas-led attack on Israel has proved more durable than initially expected.

 

The findings from the Jewish Federations of North America capture both previously disengaged Jews seeking new connections and those who were already involved in Jewish life, but have since increased their participation in certain activities.

 

But many who were not involved in Jewish life before October 7 still have not found a community where they feel they belong, according to the JFNA survey.
