Fed Up w/ Illiteracy
Fed Up With Illiteracy
Fed Up With Illiteracy started in October, 2010 to address a growing problem in our society.
We are partnering with local elementary schools to tutor Kindergarten, First, and Second graders who need extra help with reading. The Birmingham Jewish Federation and its members have a commitment to “tikkun olam”, repairing the world. What could be more fulfilling than providing students with the skills needed to live full and productive lives? By volunteering 60 minutes of your time each week, or every other week during the school year, you could change a child’s life.
